28.
Oh wow it's been so long since i've blogged. Thought i would blog after i came back from holidays but nope lol. This is probably a very photo-loaded post, i think i'm just going to separate my nz cruise trip with food pics from the past 2 weeks hahah. Alright so onto the cruise - when people ask me about it i'm always like "eh it was alright" but honestly, the cruise itself i.e. the service, food, ship, things to do and new zealand was all really good but....lol i think when you go on these things, you really gotta go with people who you can tolerate as well as people are able to explore and appreciate different cultures. Personally, i feel like if you're going to a place like nz, the main thing to do is sightseeing and hiking and all that, which i was all down for but unfortunately i wasn't able to do a lot of it. Instead i spent a lot of the time ashore in museums leeching wifi, and well not gonna lie, i was ok with that too (mainly because everyone was doing it and i needed wifi alright) but it did feel like i was completely missing the point of the places i visited. Annywaaay..moving onto happier things, will recount now..and by recount, i will just shove many pictures hah. Lots of food pictures tho HAHA

Day 1:
It was a pretty gloomy looking day when we boarded but don't let the sky fool you. It was 129371023 degrees and we had to catch the train to circular quay and just walking with my luggage to the train station made me sweat bucketfuls.
saw everyone taking photos of the cruise at the stn so i was like why not
selfies w/ fam friend
the atrium
art gallery
entree
main
dessert - cheesecake heh
we decided to get room-service lel
Day 2:
Sea Day - Can't really remembered what happened but the weather was so much better and the sea was really pretty ^^ Oh yeah, day 2 was also the first of the 2 formal nights we had and it was also the night that my fam friends and me + bro decided we should go to 2 dining rooms and have 2 dinners omfg.
the view from back of the cruise ship
entree no. 1
main no. 1
dessert no. 1
main no. 2
dessert no. 2
After all that food i felt like a balloon and i wanted to explode. After the 2 dinners, we went to watch this singing and dancing show (i think) and it wasn't bad :-) One of the singers looked like conrad ricamora :3
Day 3:
First stop - Meeeelbourne :D :D Was really looking forward to this day because i haven't been to melb in ages and also, got to wander around the city alone with erin ^^ I wanted to be the ultimate tourist, as well as do as much shopping as possible LOL
- Went up to eureka skydeck and the view was really amazing *__* I got really excited about being able to see rod laver arena lmao.
- Also went to h&m twice where i spent a lil more money than i would've liked but oh well. Then we went to this ice cream place (which i forgot the name of) but it was soo good esp since the day was around the high 20's.
- Went to princess pier after because it was close to my ship and erin really wanted to see it LOL
Day 4:
- Sea day again. Ngl, i really don't remember what happened anymore - i probably just did a lot of reading and watching movies in the staterooms.
- The food on the cruise was alright but i'm pretty easily satisfied with most things but some people tho.... istg.
Day 5:
- Second stop - Hobart! I've never been to hobart before so i was pretty keen on seeing some sights but unfortunately the day was really gloomy and it was pouring rain.
- We were planning on going up to the top of mount wellington but the roads were flooding and it was so dangerous so we gave up when we got about halfway i think haha. Quite disappointed tho.
- After that failed attempt at nature sightseeing...we went to some....apple....place...??? It was quite cute inside but not rly sure what the point was.
- Went to MONA (Museum of New and Old Art) and well..i found it pretty interesting but my mood kinda got dampened by people complaining again ~____~
Day 6/7:
2 sea days - it took us 2 days to get to fiordland national park and oh lord...the tasman sea on the 2nd night........it was literally impossible to walk down the hallway to the staterooms straight. I was just bashing into both walls it was not ideal. Also felt like my stomachs were constantly doing circles but thankfully none of my family threw up lmao.

it was the last time eating so..we decided to order all the desserts
the waiters were just like....wtf these kids
Day 8:
Third Stop - Fiordland National Park. Except it wasn't really a ashore stop - it was a scenic cruising but it was soooo beautiful. Unfortunately it was also raining when we arrived (at 7) and freezing cold but it was ok i braved the rain to see some really pretty scenery *__* Though there wasn't any sun i think the fog was also super pretty heh.
Part 12938729 of my blog is turning into a food blog - this was tonight's dinner:
Day 9:
Fourth Stop - Dunedin (Port Chalmers). This town was really cute but didn't really get to explore it too much because...lol some people wanted to go home (oh man i just sound so bitter about everything). But the time we were there it wasn't too bad haha. We started off by going to starbucks and using wifi LOLOL. Then we went to cadbury factory which was gr8 because chocolate and then after...guess what....we ended up at toitu museum...to...leech wifi.....bye.
Once again...here be my dinner, the main was so good. The entree was a little pathetic though, it sounded good on the menu but when it was brought out i was like...w..a..t...
Day 10:
Fifth stop - Akaroa. Akaroa is so pretty but we didn't really stay there lol. We caught this coach christchurch but tbh, there wasn't much to do in lmao. The shopping district they had was pretty cute though. The journey there was pretty gr8, got to sleep on the bus for 2hrs and saw a lot of sheep and nice scenery ^^
Upon returning to the boat...we saw some balloons hoisted up in the atrium and i would've liked to see them being dropped but alas...did not )-:
Day 11:
Sea day - So while on the cruise the only activities i participated in was this origami class (which was pretty dodgy), quilling (which was actually really fun!!) and some journal making thing which was.... lol.
Day 12:
Sixth stop - Tauranga - we hired a car to go to rotarua and we visited te puia culture museum :-) It was pretty cool but we left pretty early tho. This was also the last night on the cruise so the show was a crew talent show and the last act....there was some cross dressing going on, it was fantastic.
it was the last time eating so..we decided to order all the desserts
the waiters were just like....wtf these kids
Day 13/14:
We landed in Auckland! This was the view from the ship ^_^
Auckland seems like a smaller version of sydney but you can see way more trees surrounding the city haha.
- On the first day offshore, we roadtripped 2 hours or so somewhere... (can't remember oops) and stayed in this caravan park. The scenery was nice.
- I kinda wanted to do this train journey around the place but lol no one wanted to but i managed to convince my fam friends, brother and my dad to hike to cathedral cove and well...i thought it was worth it. Cathedral cove is soo pretty and it's also where one of the narnia movies was filmed hehe. Again...some people were real negative about some things and pls...it's a holiday...in nz....if u didn't go sightseeing wtf aRE U MEANT TO BE DOING. I gotta say tho...the hike to cathedral cove was the biggest trek of my life. 90% of the way was up really steep hills and it was like 30 degrees and oh lord.
After that we went to hot water beach but i wanted to avoid sand at all cost so i sat on a rock staring at the sea for 30 minutes lol. You had to dig in the sand to get to the water but the water really was hot though....like...possibly...50+ degrees hot i thought my foot was going to burn when i accidentally stepped into one to test it out.
Day 14/15:
Returned to auckland and lived even more a peasant life than previous town. 10 people....1 bathroom....noT THE LIFE FOR ME.
- Last day in auckland - us kids were allowed to go around by ourselves.
- I wanted to go auckland tower and look at the view and be ~touristy~ but alas...only i wanted to go so...yeah...didn't go l0l.
- Went to have ice cream instead and giapo is an A+ place for ice cream - i would seriously consider returning to auckland just for their ice cream.
- Then we proceeded to spend the last hours of nz....in.....burger king....whAT IS LIFE.
Annnd i think that's it....omg this actually felt so long to write. It's now 1:17 and i have work tomorrow. Ever since coming back from holidays i've been working nearly every day and i've only had 1 saturday off ~__~
Alright, till next time...ciao!
